Limtronik and Galaverse combine expertise for Europe’s next generation of satellite-based communications

Electronics manufacturer Limtronik and RF and semiconductor company Galaverse have entered into a strategic partnership. The goal of the collaboration is to industrialize and manufacture advanced satellite-based communication systems and high-frequency technologies for the German and European markets from the state of Hesse, Germany. 

In light of geopolitical tensions and increasing demands on secure communication infrastructures, European technological and manufacturing expertise in the field of satellite communications is becoming increasingly strategically important.

“Europe must become significantly more independent in key technologies such as satellite communication and high-frequency systems. This is exactly where strategically important future markets are currently emerging,” explains Gerd Ohl, Managing Director of Limtronik GmbH. “Together with Galaverse, we aim to accelerate the transfer of modern communication systems into industrial applications while simultaneously strengthening Germany as a technology and manufacturing hub.”

Industrialization of Modern Satcom Systems Begins

As a first step, the partners are focusing on the production of a modern satellite-based communication system. In the long term, the collaboration is expected to expand to additional RF, communication and aerospace technologies – including intelligent communication solutions for autonomous systems, AI-supported high-frequency technologies, and future non-terrestrial network (NTN) applications within upcoming 6G infrastructures.

Galaverse develops RF and communication solutions for satellite-based applications, autonomous systems and aerospace technologies. The company specializes in AI-based high-frequency technologies and intelligent beamforming systems designed to enhance the performance and efficiency of wireless communication networks.

Limtronik contributes its expertise in the industrialization and manufacturing of complex electronic systems to the partnership. Headquartered in Limburg an der Lahn, Germany, the company is regarded as a lighthouse for modern smart factory concepts. Limtronik provides the research and development environment for SEF Smart Electronic Factory e.V. and has extensive experience in scalable electronics manufacturing for demanding high-tech applications.

Contribution to Greater Technological Independence for Europe

The partnership underlines Europe’s growing commitment to building its own capabilities in satellite communications, semiconductor technologies and resilient digital infrastructures. The aim is to strengthen key parts of the technological value chain in Europe over the long term – from development and industrialization to manufacturing.

Looking ahead, the collaboration is also intended to serve as a platform for further industrial, research and technology projects. The focus will particularly be on applications where satellite-based and terrestrial communication networks are increasingly converging – for example in autonomous systems, safety-critical infrastructures and future 6G architectures.

The initiative is also receiving support from the regional ecosystem. Limtronik is already in dialogue with stakeholders from politics, industry and research in the state of Hesse.
