Hungarian EMS service provider acquires stake in Limtronik Group

The Videoton Group, an established Hungarian EMS service provider, is entering into a strategic partnership with electronics manufacturer Limtronik, headquartered in Limburg a. d. Lahn and with a location in the USA. Videoton now holds a stake in the Limtronik Group.

Videoton is a major family-run Hungarian contract manufacturer which, like Limtronik, offers comprehensive electronic manufacturing services (EMS), among other things. The collaboration will give both companies direct access to local manufacturing capacities and established sales structures in Europe and the USA in the future.

This strategic cooperation underscores the joint commitment to innovation and sustainable growth. A long-term and increasingly intensive cooperation between the companies has been agreed upon. The intention is to jointly open up new market opportunities, further expand the industry presence, and enable even deeper integration and interconnection. 

Through this transaction, the Videoton Group is establishing a production presence in Germany and the USA – both key markets in the electronics industry. This will enable the relevant industry segments to be served locally with high quality and diversity, while at the same time offering short response times and complying with the respective regulatory framework.

The aim of the gradual merger is to create a seamless, more comprehensive value chain that offers added value to customers through international proximity combined with vertical integration. The partners see the transaction as an opportunity to consolidate their respective market positions and tap into new growth potential. The cooperation represents a significant step toward internationalization and technological progress for the companies.

The long-term cooperation between the management teams of both companies is a central element of the investment.
